“The security attack occurred on May 3, 2023 and, claimed by the Monti ransomware gang, caused the total interruption of the administrative and healthcare activities of the ASL and a huge loss of data.
The organisation’s defense system conformed to the ACN framework, but: “It was an anomalous hack – says Urbani – because all the servers were encrypted, contrary to what usually happens. Fortunately we intervened immediately and saved a lot of data, because backups had been made.”
